Nashville-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tessa Dalton is a musician whose talent is undeniable and diversity is refreshing. Currently studying music at Belmont University, Dalton is simultaneously taking the Nashville music scene by storm, playing at music festivals and competitions around the city and beyond. Also a composer and writer of her own solo music, Dalton is currently anticipating her new single, “Hit The Lights,” set to release on November 25.

Dalton grew up competing in fiddle and violin competitions, winning numerous championships throughout her musical career. However, in her own work, Dalton draws from a variety of influences ranging from the Foo Fighters to Gracie Abrams to Blink-182. Through incorporating pop-rock influences into her songwriting, Dalton has developed her own blend of music that is completely her own.

In April 2024, Dalton released her first single, “One More Night.” Since then, she has released a steady string of singles, amassing over 26 thousand monthly Spotify listeners. Dalton’s recent release, her track “Whiplash,” is a peacefully somber track, delivering a powerful message of wishing you could start over with somebody now that you know them the way you’ve learned to know them. The song stand’s out among Dalton’s discography, as soft, electric guitar beautifully fall’s together with the singer’s radiant Gracie Abrams-esque vocals.

With Dalton’s upcoming new single, listeners may expect to hear a further addition to the sonic serenity that Dalton has become known for. As she combines her classical music training with her evident love of iconic pop and rock musicians, Dalton is consistently making herself known as one of indie music’s most shining stars.
