Fresh off of his critically acclaimed debut mixtape Melchor Lullaby Hotline, Vol.1 , Adam is back and better than ever with a new tune featuring Lennon Stella. The new song titled “Light Year” is a heartfelt acoustic track that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Having Lennon on the song was the right decision as their voices fit so well together to form some of the best angelic harmonies.
On the song Melchor comments; “Sometimes we put on a face when people ask how we are and we don’t tell them how we really feel because we’re afraid of the true feelings we would say out loud,” Adam states. “‘Light Year’ is a song about feeling far from the things you love, the people you love, the place you want to be or even the emotions you strive to feel.”
It’s a brilliant song we can all relate to. That’s what Adam does best, make songs that many can resonate with and put their own feelings toward. “Light Year” follows last month’s release of Melchor’s Lullaby Hotline, Vol. 1 – a soothing balm after a dark past year for the world – which earned acclaim from the likes of Esquire, SPIN, Billboard, Idolator, and more. Heralded by singles “Begin Again” “Last Time,” and My Chemical Romance cover “I’m not okay,” the 12-track record was largely inspired by the Melchor Lullaby Hotline, which Adam launched at the onset of the COVID lockdown last year, urging fans to text or email him every Sunday to hear a new song. By the end of the year, he personally sent 44 songs to a rapidly growing list of almost 10,000.
There’s clearly no stopping Adam any time soon, he’s quickly taking over the music world and you won’t be surprised to be hearing his name more often. This guy is a star and is only on the rise from here, we can’t wait to see more from Adam in the future! In the meantime go check out this beautifully stunning music video for “Light Year”!
Adam is also set to start his small tour of 10 dates across the Southern U.S and you can purchase tickets to that here!
