Taylor Bickett has been “Driving in the Dark”

Date:

You’ve got your hands on the steering wheel, but you keep peering into the rearview mirror. Meanwhile the sun is setting, but you refuse to turn on the headlights. Taylor Bickett, who we already know from her TikTok-viral hit “QUARTER LIFE CRISIS,” brings us a new heartbreak anthem to listen to while driving away from any tumultuous breakup with her song “Driving in the Dark.”

The Nashville-based singer steers us into the world of the song with her intrinsic metaphors for struggling to fully close a chapter on a relationship. “Driving in the Dark” tells a vulnerable story about how comforting it can be to hurt the person you are simultaneously trying to heal from. It’s that familiar dynamic where you’d rather stay intertwined in the mess you’ve created instead of being apart from each other. In the moment, it’s a car crash we can’t look away from, but in the rearview mirror, it’s better to leave it behind.

With this single, Taylor is driving us towards a debut album titled There’s Nothing I Can’t Undo, set to release on July 17. She is also excited to present this song and the album overall on tour. Find when she’ll drive to your town below, and get your tickets here.
