TEHYA says “Burn for Me” with new emotional single

Date:

Indie-pop artist TEHYA is back with her latest single “Burn for Me.”

“Burn for Me” is compelling and showcases TEHYA’s standout songwriting and talent for production. TEHYA’s magnetic vocals comfort listeners and guide them through the emotional weight of the track. Even as she expresses dissatisfaction within a relationship, her writing remains steady and assured, carrying us effortlessly through every emotion. “Burn for Me” is one of those songs that shines a clear path forward for a budding young musician with strong artistic delivery.

TEHYA shares more about the song:

“It captures that almost desperate desire to be wanted just as deeply as you want someone else, a feeling that’s super personal but also universally relatable. What I think is most unique about it is that it looks into the uglier side of that emotion, where longing turns into frustration and your thoughts get messy.”

As a gifted martial artist, TEHYA approaches music with the same dexterity and grace she brings to combat competition. Alongside years of jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai training, the 19-year-old taught herself ukulele, piano, and guitar before experimenting with vocal layering techniques with GarageBand. That combination of discipline and curiosity led her to start self-releasing songs as early as eighth grade, building to tracks like the ukulele-driven “Zombie at a Party” and the sweetly seductive “Feels Like DU DU DU.”
