Recent News: Will release their new album, Please Stop Laughing, on May 8 through AWAL.

An album that is years in the making, indie pop duo Ray Bull truly come into their own on their upcoming new record, Please Stop Laughing. Set to arrive May 8 on AWAL, the album is previewed by singles such as “Marry A Skater” and “All That You Are,” presenting the record as a project that is equal parts harmonious and edgy. The band — composed of Aaron Graham and Tucker Elkins — has been compared to the likes of The Beatles, The Strokes, and Djo, and their status as Internet sensations and musical chameleons is unwavering.

Ray Bull initially formed when Graham and Elkins crossed paths in college. With the former studying visual arts and the latter studying film, the two reconnected again some years later at a gallery show. When they both confided in one another that they had been focusing more on making music than physical art, Graham and Elkins knew they had to start creating music together. Thus, Ray Bull was born.

In 2022, the duo began making viral TikTok videos to aid in promoting their music, and soon amassed hundreds of thousands of social media followers and over 40 million global streams. Their first viral series, titled “Did You Know,” fabricated highly fictionalized stories about celebrities, while their “Songs That Are The Same” series included pairing two songs from completely different eras and genres that sounded eerily similar. Since the beginning, Ray Bull’s artistry has been fueled by a crucial desire for self-expression and an extensive knowledge of visual aesthetics, resulting in a nostalgic yet refreshing musicality.

Following one full-length album and three EP’s, Please Stop Laughing continues to build upon the duo’s signature sonic identity. Blending the vocal harmonies and striking lyricality of The Beatles with the iconic resonance of modern indie pop, Ray Bull bring something radiant and unforgettable to today’s indie music landscape.

Following the release of their new album, Ray Bull will hit the road for the Please Stop Laughing Tour, making their way across North America over the next couple of months. Kicking off May 12 in Boston, the duo will hit major cities like Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Seattle, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Dallas before wrapping up on June 13 in New York. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
