Recent News: Will release the 10th anniversary deluxe version of their album A/B on June 12.

Since their formation in 2012, Icelandic rock group KALEO have managed to captivate audiences through their signature blues rock sound. Decorating vintage rock swagger with a moody, contemporary edge, the band earned great traction with the release of their debut self-titled album in 2013, but it wasn’t until A/B, their sophomore full-length record, that KALEO were granted global fame. Standout singles “All the Pretty Girls” and “Way down We Go” introduced the group as a Platinum-certified act, and over the next decade, the group has continued to maintain musical glory.

Now with four studio albums under their belt, including their most recent record Mixed Emotions, which was released last year, KALEO now prepare for a monumental release. Set to share the deluxe edition of A/B this Friday, the band will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the seminal record with a deluxe rerelease and coinciding anniversary tour.

KALEO previewed the anniversary edition of A/B with the deluxe album’s lead single “Still No Good”, a grittier, reimagined version of the initial album’s highlight track “No Good.” Amplifying the original song’s already inherent blues rock power, the new version is regarded by fans as a sign of greater things to come, with many hoping for the entire A/B anniversary edition to include darker, moodier versions of the original songs featured on the classic album.

KALEO plan to celebrate 10 years of A/B with not just a deluxe version of the record, but also with an anniversary tour. The Way Down We Go Tour will kick off June 25, and the band will make their way throughout the U.S. and Canada before wrapping up their run in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. They will tour with a number of supporting acts, which includes Dawes, Elle King, Darren Kiely, Vincent Lima, Geoffroy, and Dogpark. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.

Ultimately, KALEO now celebrates 10 years of an album that both offered them global superstardom and cemented their original alt-rock sound. Blending a multitude of musical flavors ranging from folk to classic rock to blues, KALEO take these retro influences and approach them with a contemporary lens, resulting in a musicality that flawlessly delivers both raw power and reassuring familiarity. Undoubtedly, the release of A/B‘s anniversary deluxe edition will only continue to amplify KALEO’s place in the modern indie rock circuit that they first established all those years ago.
