On May 29, Travis Bolt brought soul and fire to the Grand Ole Opry stage and amazed the crowd with his one-of-a-kind energy. This East Texas country artist was announced by WSM Radio Host Charlie Matto, and later performed a two-song set that left a footprint in the circle of the historic Opry House.
From Burning Bridges, his album that was released earlier this year, Bolt gave fans an incredible start with “Blues At My Funeral.” Bolt’s expressive voice and tone automatically drew the audience in with roaring applause. His stage presence blended well with the crowd’s ambience, his sultry voice, and fiery guitar.
Bolt’s second song was “Never Tried Cocaine,” also from Burning Bridges. Explaining the song’s backstory, Bolt discussed intimate details about his divorce and gave personal insight about the writing process for “Never Tried Cocaine,” sharing that this song was the reason that he came to Nashville in the first place.
Travis Bolt’s imprint on the country music scene will be everlasting due to his resilience, growth, and endurance, which are all reflected on Burning Bridges. This dynamic artist is not someone to miss. Bolt has several shows coming up across the country. Tickets are available here.
