mgk, also known as Machine Gun Kelly, brought the Lost Americana Tour to Coastal Credit Union Music Park last Tuesday night, delivering a performance that balanced fan favorites, new material, and an impressive stage production. Following opening sets from DE’WAYNE and Wiz Khalifa, mgk wasted little time setting the tone.
Kicking things off with “FIX UR FACE,” mgk launched into a set that pulled from every era of his career, with songs like “Wild Boy,” “El Diablo,” “bloody valentine,” and “my ex’s best friend” drawing some of the night’s biggest reactions.
The newest material stood confidently alongside the classic hits. Tracks including “miss sunshine,” “starman,” “times of my life,” and “vampire diaries” connected strongly with the crowd, highlighting the growing impact of lost americana.
The show’s production added another layer to the experience. Massive video screens, pyrotechnics, and theatrical staging amplified key moments without distracting from the music. A standout performance featuring towering flames served as one of the night’s most memorable visuals.
Wiz Khalifa returned midway through the set for a crowd-favorite collaboration, while songs like “Lonely Road” and “play this when I’m gone” provided some of the evening’s most personal moments. A venue-wide singalong to “Mr. Brightside” showcased the connection between mgk and his audience.
Closing with tracks including “DAYWALKER,” “papercuts,” “cliché,” and “vampire diaries,” mgk left little doubt as to why the Lost Americana Tour has become one of the summer’s most talked-about rock tours. For nearly three hours in Raleigh, he delivered a show that felt equally at home in an amphitheater with fans who sang every word.
