Through his high-octane musicality, one that intertwines upbeat electronic elements with heavy metalcore influences, singer-songwriter John Harvie has become one of the most exciting up-and-comers in alternative music. Blending 2000’s rock with modern pop elements, Harvie is continuing to rise within the modern hard rock landscape.

Dropping his debut singles in 2021, Harvie initially went viral on TikTok for his cover of Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down,” with soon-to-be fans immediately picking up on his flawless emo rock vocals (and charming sense of humor). Amassing hundreds of thousands of views, Harvie become an Internet sensation nearly overnight, and his journey to pop metal stardom took off. Introductory singles like “Bleach (On the Rocks)” and “Alaina” further ignited his success, and in the years that followed he earned touring slots alongside the likes of Jelly Roll, Charlotte Sands, Meet Me at the Altar, Shinedown, and more.

In 2022, Harvie dropped his debut full-length album, told ya., and has continued to steadily release new singles since. Most recently, he shared his new EP BREAK back in April of this year. BREAK continues to expand upon Harvie’s signature songwriting style, taking his lyrical vulnerability to new depths while maintaining his optimistic pop rock artistry.

Currently, Harvie is on tour supporting alt-metal trailblazers sace6 for their Brutalist, Initial Display Tour. Taking the tour across North America, Europe, and the U.K., Harvie is supporting the duo on select shows of their U.S. dates from June 10 through June 21. With his run of shows soon nearing their end, Harvie is an act you don’t want to miss if he’s coming to a city near you. On June 17, Harvie will also be playing a one-night-only set in his home city of Nashville, playing his BREAK EP in full with support from MVSSIE.

With a number of festival dates coming up, including appearances at Ceremony Festival and Vans Warped Tour in Orlando, Harvie will bring his hard-hitting artistry to audiences across the country throughout this year. Able to balance both an invigorating musicality with soft relatability, there’s good reason as to why Harvie stands out as one of alternative music’s most interesting rising stars for 2026.
