If Humphrey Bogart had a favorite song that he put on in the background to help him complete his detective work, it would be the brand new single “The Man Who Follows The Man” by The Silver Bars. The Cumbria-based band has made a surf-rock anthem for the sleuths and private investigators of golden cinema, an ode to the noir gumshoe.
“The Man Who Follows The Man” can’t help but bring the listener into the world of chasing villains down alleyways and getting to the bottom of a mystery, all with a headbanging tune. Anthony Chapma, the producer of the track, is able to give a sense of sonic thrill; you won’t be able to keep your feet still while listening to the song.
Composed of Dylan Grafton (vocals/rhythm guitar), Phil McArthur (keys/synth), Kieran Hackett (lead guitar), Elliott Jones (bass), and Matthew Grosvenor (drums), The Silver Bars channels raw energy into bright, hooky songs with a dark twist.
Following the band’s other singles “Headwind” and “The Dog,” “The Man Who Follows the Man” is the third and final single from their highly anticipated debut album Hit the North, ready for release on July 3.
