SYTË says “Go Ahead” with new alt-pop single

Date:

NYC-based duo SYTË has just released their newest single “Go Ahead,” the first song from their upcoming EP.

“Go Ahead” captures SYTË at a moment of quiet reckoning, as the duo steps into the uncertainty of change with a rare sense of acceptance. Frontwoman Nita describes the track, sharing that it reflects: “Zillennial angst heightened at the precipice of what is best described as the astrological transit, Saturn’s return; occurring about every 27–30 years. It usually brings major life pivots and restructuring.” She adds:

I dread the anticipation of loss more than loss itself, but I must remember that everything happens in my best interest. I must make peace with the universe’s inevitable flow and simply allow it to ‘go ahead’. It wasn’t going to ask me for permission, anyway.

The track blends glossy synth-pop with introspective lyricism around growth and letting go. Listeners are bound to connect with this song on a multitude of levels as it takes them into an atmospheric trance that is both expansive and welcoming.

SYTË consists of New York City-born singer Nita Kaja and Kosovo-born music producer Drin Tashi.

SYTË — Albanian for eyes and phonetically adapted as sight — is defined by balanced contrast: extrovert and introvert, sun and moon, right and left brain. Nita and Drin’s opposing yet complementary energies drive their distinctive sound: artful yet sticky kinda-pop.
