If Not For Me announces new album ‘Where The Light Begins To Fade’

Date:

If Not For Me has shared that their highly-anticipated sophomore album Where The Light Begins To Fade will be released on August 18 via Thriller Records. Pre-order/pre-save is available here

Following the announcement, the rising metalcore act unveiled their latest single “Novocaine” featuring Josh Mowery of Catch Your Breath. The track appears to be an anthem for devotion at first glance, but presents as more of a defeated desperation beneath its surface. The band navigates the devastating reality of being unable to save someone you care about from their own vices and wishing the situation would end differently. Speaking on “Novocaine,” vocalist Patrick Glover shares,

“Novocaine is one of those songs that I feel like can have a different interpretation or meaning depending on what you need out of it. On the surface it may feel like a love song, and it absolutely is, but I had a bit of a deeper/darker intention with it.”

If Not For Me will spend July on the road with Memphis May Fire surrounding their appearance at Inkcarceration Festival. The band will also be heading out on a 28-date run supporting Wind Walkers across North America beginning in Albany, NY on September 10. Tickets and information for all of If Not For Me’s upcoming shows can be found here
