The Barons announce debut album ‘Le Château’ and release lead single “Way Out”

Date:

Richmond, VA alt-rock band The Barons announced that their debut album Le Château will arrive on November 7th.

The album showcases the complex nature of human connection in the digital age, growing up and accepting change in a light-hearted yet serious way. Le Château sees the five piece discover their voice as musicians and display their restless ambition to the world. The band used analog recording to capture their infectious live energy with the help of producer Jacob Semmerio in their hometown over the course of a few weeks.

Alongside the announcement, The Barons released the first single from the record titled “Way Out.” With a roaring guitar solo and captivating rhythm, the group delivers an exciting taste into their debut that tackles the lack of empathy and uptick in technological dependency seen in today’s society. Frontman Peyton Alley shares,

“Now more than ever, instead of seeking nature and one another with our deep questions, we now seek them from a simulation we justify because we have ‘created’ it. This hyper-efficient cat is out of the bag; there is no turning back. I believe human relationships and virtues are now on the fringe of extinction, and I think that’s what ultimately inspired Way Out. We’re in a new era that is supposed to be the new normal. I think the real way out is embracing our physical relationships authentically and loving each other every chance we have in a world that’s become more difficult to do so.”

The Barons will be hitting the road across North Carolina and Virginia this fall, starting with an album release show this evening at Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville, VA. Tickets and information for all of The Barons’ upcoming shows can be found here
