Alternative rock group Cartel has officially returned with the announcement of their fifth studio album, Learning How To Cope, coming out on September 18. This new album will be the band’s first complete album since their 2013 project Collider, which included the singles “Oxy Moron” and “Give Or Take.”
In addition to releasing news about their upcoming album, Cartel has also released two songs, “Deadbeat Drag” and “Shirts & Skins.”
Commenting on their album, the band’s vocalist, Will Pugh, shared how much it meant to him personally, stating,
“The music on this record saved my life. I was able to relearn how to feel empathy, community, and understand that everyone belongs. This record was born out of that philosophy of honesty, openness, and caring for your people.”
Fans will be able to listen to the new tracks live at concerts throughout the year. Cartel is slated to play Vans Warped Tour Montreal, Soundtrack Of Your Summer Festival, Riot Fest, Four Chord Music Festival, and Furnace Fest. In addition, Cartel will play an album release show in their hometown of Atlanta before embarking on the Around The World And Back Again Tour with State Champs starting November 5.
