Beartooth have just dropped their newest single “Eyes Closed” from their upcoming album Pure Ecstasy, out August 28 via Fearless Records.
“Eyes Closed” captures the disorienting moment when life changes faster than you can process it. The single is built around the band’s massive trademark riffs, cathartic screams, and one of Caleb Shomo’s most vulnerable performances yet. Confronting fear and uncertainty, “Eyes Closed” is a track that surely portrays the determination to keep moving forward even when the path ahead feels impossible to see.
Shomo shares about the track:
“There are so many fun riffs to play on ‘Eyes Closed.’ It felt incredible to scream it out and let go. The song was written from the ground up with Jordan, and the moment it was a demo, we knew we had something special.”
Beartooth’s upcoming album, Pure Ecstasy, finds the band pushing their sound further than they ever have before. Frontman Caleb Shomo remains Beartooth’s singular creative force for the new album and it also features select collaborations with Jordan Fish. The album finds Beartooth at their most collaborative yet, with early songwriting contributions from Syler Accord and the inclusion of live musicians Oshie Bichar, Zach Huston, Will Deely, and Conner Denis.
