Half-American and half-Brazilian singer-songwriter Blu Jay has gained a loyal following by writing and performing songs about her experience growing up as a teen in Los Angeles. Fans will be happy to hear that she’s at it again in her brand new track, “At the Party”.

This fluid and relatable single addresses the singer’s struggle to fit in. She confronts the experience of trying to be someone she’s not, singing “trying to be something cooler / who even knows what that means.” The honest lyrics backed by angelic yet powerful vocals give this track an angst and an impact that listeners will immediately relate to. You can check out the new single here.

Blu Jay’s brand of indie pop aims to pay homage to her Brazilian roots. She also runs her own fashion line, Baby Daddy Momma Drama, and occasionally organizes virtual concerts to reach her audience even when she’s not on the road.
