After eight years in the Oklahoma punk scene, Tulsa’s CLIFFDIVER is “hitting pause” for the foreseeable future. In a heartfelt announcement, the band confirmed an indefinite hiatus, explaining that health restrictions and personal obligations had made touring life unsustainable.
Since 2018, CLIFFDIVER — made up of Briana Wright, Tyler Rogers, Eliot Aaron Cooper, and Joey Duffy — has earned their spot as a staple on the SideOneDummy Records roster. In 2023, Rogers experienced a life-threatening accident, but the band responded with resilience, crafting an uncanny ability to weave the heaviest of themes into their high-energy music.
“We were built from day one to be a touring band, obsessed with being road dogs,” the band remarked, explaining that they had explored every avenue possible to continue the band at this time. Read the full statement below:
It’s not all sad, though. The band confirmed they will release a few new songs this summer, accompanied by two farewell shows in their hometown. Purchase tickets here.
