Slow Pulp announces biggest North American tour to date

Date:

Slow Pulp by Rhys Scarabosio

Good news for lovers of a “fuzzy kind of dream pop”! Chicago’s own Slow Pulp is hitting the road again, following a chaotically good year that saw them grace Lollapalooza’s stage and support Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service. Now, they’re embarking this fall on an expansive 24-date headline run through North America.

Kicking off in St. Louis at Delmar Hall on October 16, the tour will wind through major cities like Denver, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, and more, hitting legendary venues like the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., and The Salt Shed in their hometown of Chicago before concluding November 21 at The Sylvee in Madison.

The Chicago Tribune describes Slow Pulp as “one of the best young bands in the country,” and their upward climb since 2023’s Yard is evidence. The sophomore release placed them on Variety’s “Best Rock Records” list, was hailed by hard-to-impress Pitchfork as a “warm embrace of sincerity and bubblegum hooks”, and now, it’s carrying them into their biggest venues yet.

Support acts Her New Knife and Snuggle will make for plenty of nights to remember along the way. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, May 15, at 10 AM local time here. Given their history of sold-out rooms, we suggest being ready when they drop.
