Popstar, JORDY delights fans in NYC

Date:

Trending Tik-Toker and rising pop star, JORDY owned NYC’s Irving Plaza stage on Friday night as he treated fans to new tracks from his upcoming sophomore album BOY (out Friday 4/21).

Currently on tour supporting Spencer Sutherland, JORDY brings a fresh approach to the pop music scene with his direct lyrics and catchy hooks which were on full display as JORDY opened his NYC set with “IDK SH!T” off of his most recent album BOY. Never stopping for a second, he held the crowds attention as he belted out tracks “Friends” and “Long Distance” while he danced around the stage.Next were songs “Love You and Let You Go,” and “Dry Spell” before JORDY covered Hilary Duff’s “Come Clean” which launched into a full-venue sing-along.

JORDY’s set continued with unreleased track “Good Not Great” before speaking to the crowd about his viral track “Story of a Boy.” The song is a cover of Nine Days “Absolutely (Story of a Girl)” that re-writes the story from the view of JORDY’s young queer self. The song has gone viral on TikTok where members of the Transgender Community have made videos documenting their transition  to both the original track and JORDY’s version. Residing in nearby Long Island, Nine Days vocalist John Hampson (and writer of the original song) joined JORDY on stage for his performance of the inspiring track.

Closing his set with “Trevor” and “Till It Hurts” from his debut 2021 album Mind Games, JORDY showed why he is a trailblazer in the pop music scene.
