Seafret release new track “Signal Fire” and announce fourth album, ‘Fear of Emotion’

Date:

Seafret, the Yorkshire duo, comprised of Jack Sedman and Harry Draper, have released their latest track, “Signal Fire.” While rediscovering their creative core after a decade spent navigating major-label pressures, industry expectations, and the relentless pace that followed their 2016 debut Tell Me It’s Real, the duo is now operating independently and writing from a place of renewed freedom.

Built around delicate banjo textures, “Signal Fire” explore strain within a relationship. As the band explain, it’s a reminder that help exists, even when it feels distant.

The single arrives alongside the announcement of Seafret’s forthcoming fourth studio album, Fear of Emotion, due out March 27th via Nettwerk. Written and recorded across 2025 with long-time collaborators Steve Robson (5 Seconds of Summer, Jonas Brothers) and Sam Miller (Black Mirror), the album captures the duo at their most honest selves.

For longtime fans, “Signal Fire” taps into the same emotional gravity that made “Atlantis” a global phenomenon, now boasting over one billion streams. More recent releases, including the BBC Radio 2 A-listed “Five More Seconds” featuring KT Tunstall, signaled the band’s renewed momentum and willingness to collaborate without compromising their identity.

Live shows are set to carry Seafret through the summer, as they bring this new era to the stage before fully turning the spotlight on Fear of Emotion.
