The Quiet North, the project of artist Fredrik Kristiansen, is back with another alt-pop single, titled “By the Sea.”
“By The Sea” is a warm, cinematic indie-folk song about the feeling of the Norwegian summer by the coast.
The Quiet North puts in his own words the small sources of joy that inspired the track:
“Slow boat rides through the archipelago, cold beer in hand, good friends nearby, and that golden evening light that makes everything feel lighter.”
With organic textures and a nostalgic Nordic atmosphere, the song captures a simple moment of freedom: being young again, surrounded by sea, wind and warmth. Listeners, no matter where they find themselves, will be transported to their own little mindscape of a coastal trip in the summer.
Fredrik’s path began in the world of tech and design, building digital experiences until music became the place where creativity felt natural again. What started as a small creative outlet in the summer of 2025 quickly grew to have an international audience.
With a fast-growing listener base in London, Sydney, Stockholm, Oslo and other cultural hubs, The Quiet North is becoming a destination for listeners who seek emotional clarity, cinematic textures and the quiet beauty of northern light.
