Color Palette releases dreamy new single “Nights Alone”

Date:

Indie dream-pop band Color Palette has released a new single, “Nights Alone.” Led by principal songwriter and vocalist Jay Nemeyer, the Washington, D.C.-based group continues to explore lush soundscapes and emotional storytelling.

The track follows their well-received EP Pacing Like a Lion, released on April 14, 2023, via En Route Records.

“Nights Alone” blends elements of bedroom pop and shoegaze while adding a unique sonic twist. Driven by airy guitars, layered vocals, warm synths and a steady drumbeat, the song captures the feeling of solitude and longing for connection.

Known for their blend of pop-style vocals and melodic guitar lines, Color Palette has steadily grown within the indie dream-pop scene. The band has shared stages with major artists, including Charli XCX, and earned placements with NBCUniversal, MTV, Vimeo and Volvo. In 2020, they received a Washington Area Music Award (Wammie) for Best Pop Song with “Marrakech to Bombay.”

As “Nights Alone” marks their second single of 2025, fans can expect more new music and projects on the horizon.
