Ashnikko announces sophomore album alongside shiny new single, “Trinkets”

Date:

Alternative-pop self-proclaimed demidevil Ashnikko welcomes fans into her little trinket emporium with her latest single and the announcement of her second LP, Smoochies, which is out on Oct. 17.

Presave Smoochies here.

“Trinkets” is a fun, whimsical track exploring classic “just girly things,” such as collectible items, fascination with shiny souvenirs, and ironically (maybe… unironically) objectifying men: Treat him like a trinket / Hang him off my keychain / I collect the kisses / You could be my keepsake.”

The “Slumber Party singer describes the single on her Instagram as “the thrill of your life that will literally take you to another dimension of pleasure and joy, a full sensory experience !!”

The accompanying music video shows the icon alongside Barbie doll parts, knick-knacks and 2000s imagery while sporting a googly-eyed butt. She appears atop men dressed as keychains, showing off her “pretty princess boys.” This equates little trinkets and novelty objects to keeping a man by one’s side, like something fun to play with.

The lad single “Itty Bitty” was released in March, a promiscuous post-breakup anthem that belongs on a “Brat summer”-adjacent playlist. In combination with “Trinkets,” Smoochies is sure to be a standout 15-track project, featuring double entendres, feminine energy and an empowering message for women to live their best smoochie girl life.

  1. Smoochie Girl

  3. Trinkets

Between the upcoming album and her previous LP WEEDKILLER (2023), the blue-haired rockstar was featured on the soundtrack for the Netflix series Arcane season 2 with the electrifying song “Paint The Town Blue.” Ashnikko also released her EP Halloweenie I-IV, a compilation of her iconic annual “Halloweenie” songs dating back to the original in 2018.

Ashnikko announced a UK Smoochies Tour for February 2026. Tickets are available for pre-sale on August 19 and general sale on August 21 here.
