Apocalyptica brings The Cell-0 Tour to Boston

Date:

Finnish symphonic metal icons Apocalyptica stopped by Big Night Live in Boston on Tuesday night, on what was the last US date of The Cell-0 Tour. After two years and postponements, the band was able to share with fans their latest release, Cell-0.

Joining Apocalyptica on tour is italian goth metal group Lacuna Coil, starting off the evening with a blast. Lead by singers Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro, the band brought a mesmerizing show that focused heavily on their most recent album, Black Anima. From “Reckless” to “Layers of Time”, Lacuna Coil’s newer tracks had the same beauty and power as classics like “Heaven’s A Lie” and “Our Truth”. The band connected with the audience deeply on what was their long awaited return to the US.

The stage was set for Apocalyptica to take their spots. The band’s stage presence is imposing, stepping right into “Ashes of The Modern World”, off their latest record. The legendary group taps into their classical roots, but with an intense metal edge, reaching its heights with guest vocalist Franky Perez, joining in for tracks like “Not Strong Enough”. The Boston crowd would also enjoy a special performance of “S.O.S (Anything But Love)”, the classic duet with Cristina Scabbia. Apocalyptica would also include a few covers from bands like Sepultura and Metallica, a stunning performance to perfectly close their US tour.
