Known for his heart-wrenching lyrics, Lewis Capaldi has given us his latest EP, Survive. He has, once again, delivered a soulful project with four songs that the audience will be able to relate to.

Native to Scotland, Capaldi had a big year in 2025. After a two-year performing hiatus, he made a return at Glastonbury this past June for a surprise set. That same month, he released the EP’s title track, “Survive”, officially marking the end of his hiatus. “Survive” is him being resilient while dealing with self-doubt and the feeling of being stuck in multiple different aspects of his life. He actively chooses to keep fighting to stay above water, wanting to build his own identity.

“Survive” is the perfect opening to the project; the vulnerability swings a door open to a whole other part of his heart that fans haven’t heard before. Gently drifting into “Something In The Heavens,” he then sings about grief and dealing with the loss of someone dear to him in a mix of instrumentals and powerful vocals.

One after the next, the tracks flow together harmoniously. They go from confronting emotional denial to ending with the bittersweet reassurance that “On the day that I die / I promise I will be reliving / Every second, every minute / Of you and I.”

Lewis Capaldi’s third EP, Survive, is out now on all streaming platforms.

Capaldi will take his latest EP on tour throughout North America next spring. Tickets are available here.
