Jack Antonoff and Bleachers bring Shadow of the City back for year eight with a new album celebration

It’s back! Jack Antonoff and Bleachers have announced that Shadow of the City will be returning for its 8th year in Asbury Park on Saturday, May 23, just in time for Memorial Day Weekend.

The festival will arrive just one day after Bleachers’ upcoming album everyone for ten minutes, with Antonoff noting that “year 8 is the everyone for ten minutes release show,” giving this year’s event an added sense of occasion.

The festival has been a hit in years past, thanks to its stacked lineup at the Stone Pony Summer Stage and its slate of fan-favorite activities, including the Charity Dunk Tank, which raises money for Antonoff’s foundation, the The Ally Coalition.

This year’s lineup features a mix of indie and alternative acts, including Real Estate, Toadies, Grace Ives, Annie DiRusso, and Bike Routes, offering a lineup that balances nostalgic alt-rock staples with a new generation of indie talent.

Tickets go on sale Friday, April 24, at 10 a.m. local time. As always, $1 from every ticket sold will be donated to The Ally Coalition, which supports LGBTQ+ youth.
