The Angry Lisas reflect on the past in “Not Who I Was”

Date:

The latest from The Angry Lisas, “Not Who I Was” is an anthem about personal growth and acceptance. While working in construction with his father, lead singer Sean Taylor began reflecting on his past and how to build back what he had torn down. Taylor perfectly funnels these emotional revelations into this track.

“Not Who I Was” comes off of a win at the Los Angeles International Film Festival for the music video to their song “Wingwalkers.” Anticipation builds throughout the first verse, leading into some explosive drums and an unforgettable bass line in the chorus. A cinematic look at change and personal growth, the song unfolds itself just like the realizations found within its lyrics.
