There are plenty of artists out there who can make relatable tunes with enlivening beats, but none of them can compare to Robert Grace. The 28-year-old Irish singer-songwriter has been making waves as of late, gaining millions of views, followers, and streams all across social media. Last year, his single “Fake Fine” went platinum in Ireland and spent five weeks at #1 on the Irish Homegrown and Shazam Ireland Charts. Fans just go crazy for his music, and after listening to Robert’s latest single, it is clear as to why.
On “Break The Silence,” we hear about the temptation of wanting to reach out to someone from a relationship that has run its course, despite knowing better. Over a casual pop beat, Robert sings about how lonely feelings and a few drinks can lead to annoying late-night texts. It all comes to a head on the irresistible chorus, “I don’t wanna talk to you / You don’t wanna talk to me / But when I get a little f*cked up, I might break the silence,” which is sure to resonate with loads of people who have been in the exact same situation.
The accompanying video for the track brings this story to life, as we see a couple arguing on the phone and through text messages. In between these scenes, Robert performs the track in vibrant alleyways and rooms, tying the characters and the lyrics together.
