Public Order makes us all feel like the “Joker” in new single

Date:

Native to south Wales, alternative rock group Public Order has electrified radio waves with their new single, “Joker.” The release of the single is in preparation for the group’s debut EP titled HELLO. Perfect for the transition from winter to spring, “Joker” presents a somber but loving intro, fitting for the arrival of the new season.

Building into a strong chorus, Public Order delights listeners with a colorful melody. Combining eagerness for the adventures of life with a longing for the past, “Joker” encapsulates young love like no other. The band says,

“‘Joker’ is a bittersweet snapshot of youth. It’s about living in the moment, embracing the chaos, the messiness, and the beautiful but fleeting moments. It’s the realisation that not everything is meant to last, and that’s okay.”

Listeners may find “Joker” to sound similar to bands like Wallows or COIN. With lyrics like, “You get the drinks and I’ll get the smoke set / Just 19 and I’m still a joker / Sit by me, we’ll sleep on the sofa again,” it’s easy to recognize the sense of growing up, but wanting to hold onto the fleeting youth.

The HELLO EP will consist of the following songs:

1.  Joker
2. HELLO
3. Someday
4. STRANGER

“Joker” and the rest of the EP are filled with experimental sounds, grungy instrumentals and admirable lyrics that keep listeners feeling the beat but also engaging with the message.
