88rising’s annual Head in the Clouds Music & Arts Festival is right around the corner, returning to Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles, California, on May 31 and June 1. The festival boasts a jam-packed lineup featuring headlining acts G-Dragon, 2NE1, DEAN, DPR Ian, Rich Brian, Porter Robinson, and Higher Brothers.

sunkis

Get ready to be captivated by sunkis’ dreamy vocals. His music seamlessly blends English and Mandarin lyrics, showcasing his roots as a Taiwanese-American artist. If you’re active on TikTok, chances are you’ve heard or danced to his tracks. Notably, he collaborated with J.Tajor on the song “Like I Do,” which has amassed over 32 million streams on Spotify. Since then, sunkis has opened for BM, a rapper from the K-pop group KARD, during his solo tour and performed at the MetaMoon Music Festival. We can possibly expect to hear his newest single, “T-Shirt,” live next weekend.
Number_i

Number_i is a J-pop boy group formed by Sho Hirano, Yuta Jinguji, and Yuta Kishi — former members of Johnny & Associates’ King & Prince. After leaving the group, they signed with Tobe Co., Ltd. and debuted with the single “GOAT.” In April 2024, Number_i had their first festival performance at Coachella, where they showcased a remixed version of “GOAT” with Jackson Wang. As part of their festival streak, they are set to perform at Head in the Clouds to expand their international reach.
Tabber

When it comes to Korean R&B, Tabber is an artist to keep on your radar. Before his debut, Tabber gained recognition from collaborations with artists such as DEAN, Punchnello, and APRO. Since then, he has made his debut with the EP Deep End Mixtape. Last year, he co-headlined the you.will.knovv North American tour alongside labelmates Rad Museum and Miso, and now he is set to bring his charismatic performances to Head in the Clouds. Be sure to check him out for some R&B goodness.
Youha

Youha is a South Korean singer-songwriter who was a former trainee at YG Entertainment. After she departed from the label, she debuted as a soloist with the single “ISLAND.” In addition to her solo work, she is known for writing songs for various K-pop artists, including LOONA, STAYC, and many others. In more recent news, Youha joined 88rising and released the track “body” in collaboration with labelmate Warren Hue. With both of them on the lineup, perhaps we might get to see them perform it live.
Stephanie Poetri

Stephani Poetri is no stranger to Head in the Clouds, having participated in the lineup several times before. The talented artist quickly gained breakthrough success with “I Love You 3000,” a track inspired by a fan’s suggestion during an Instagram Q&A, following the release of Avengers: Endgame. She later released a remix titled “I Love You 3000 II” featuring Jackson Wang. The success of the song earned her “Best New Asian Artist – Indonesia” at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards. She recently released her latest single, “just a girl,” through her label 88rising with PIAO. Festival attendees can look forward to hearing her sweet vocals live.
