No Love For The Middle Child teases new project with emotional single “Broken Wings”

Date:

Philadelphia-born No Love For The Middle Child has released “Broken Wings,” an emotional pop-rock song with vulnerable lyrics about the emptiness of never feeling satisfied, even when you get what you wished for. It serves as the first single off his upcoming project.

On “Broken Wings,” the multitalented artist opens the track with vocals and guitar only, instantly drawing you in with raw emotion and heartbreaking lyrics. While its catchy hooks will surely get stuck in your head, its message will resonate on a deeper level. Before bringing in the drums for the chorus, No Love sings about how pessimism gets in his way: “There’s an open door inside of my head I leave for you / Still you can’t save me, break me, make me see your point of view.”

About the inspiration behind the song, No Love says:

“‘Broken Wings’ is about a pessimist never being happy with what they have or for what they’ve already earned. As soon as they get what they want, they’re on to the next. I think it speaks to a part of everyone, a part that is fueled by the pace of the world we live in. If we can’t be happy and enjoy the ride, what’s the point of it all?”

As a producer and songwriter, No Love For The Middle Child has worked on records of various artists, including Jellyroll, Juice WRLD, Maggie Lindemann, Jessie Reyez, and many more. Recently, he contributed to mgk’s Lost Americana. As a performer and instrumentalist, he has also toured with mgk, as well as with grandson and MOD SUN.
