Taiwanese artist TAIYO 金泰佑 brings about a bittersweet indie-pop melody with his newest song “Summer’s End,” a song featured on his newly released EP, 傷心男孩俱樂部 TILL THE END.
Mixing together English and Chinese language into his artistry, the Taiwanese artist has created a unique soundscape for international listeners and longtime fans. Breaking into the industry in 2018, he released his first single “Own The Stars” before eventually beginning to work under Warner Music. TAIYO’s most popular works include songs off of his 2022 EP LOVER BOY, which it’s famed popularity with hits like “Weekend Boyfriend (feat. Shi Shi)” and “Love in Taipei.”
“Summer’s End,” the only full-English single off the new EP, gives off a Post Malone-style tone and grit along with its upbeat, feel-good vibes. In complete contrast, the meaning of the song reflects the emotions that come with the ice finally cracking in a relationship; the reckless final push of a relationship to its breaking point. TAIYO had this to share about the single:
“I wrote and produced this song about pressing the gas even when you see the crash coming. Best for late night drives and bittersweet sunsets.”
For the dreamers and the yearners waiting to find something for the late-night, cinematic heart-break scenarios, look no further than the wistful vocals of this artist! You can stream the single and the full EP now.
