On October 24, indie rock, pop and country icon Kandle dropped a retro sci-fi-inspired music video for her song “Little Bit Longer.” The track is featured on the singer’s latest album Danger To Dream, released on October 25. Her fifth studio album, Danger To Dream is said to be Kandle’s most definitive record, nothing short of a Bowie-infused project exuding sensuality, confidence and inspiration.

The music video for “Little Bit Longer” appears like something out of “Star Trek” or Barbarella, as Kandle plays the role of an alien in love with an astronaut visiting her planet. The intergalactic treatment is perfectly balanced by Kandle’s ethereal musicality, and the video’s pink hues and varying shades of glitter perfectly round out a mysterious and enticing aesthetic. For a track about lost love, an equally dynamic visual was needed.

The Montreal-based alt-pop artist’s latest album, which features “Little Bit Longer,” was entirely self-produced along with her long time collaborator Jeff Mitchell. Danger To Dream follows Kandle’s 2021 album Set the Fire. After years of fighting through the adversity of the music industry, Kandle has finally become in control of her music, and in recent years has worked with the likes of Jack White and July Talk. Most recently, Kandle has joined the outlaw country group The Midnight Cowgirls along with several members of Eagles of Death Metal.

Throughout all of her musical adventures, Kandle is a songwriter that exudes confidence and power as she explores themes of love, feminism and identity. Blending together a variety of musical influences, Kandle’s artistry is not one to be easily defined, but listeners are bound to be hooked once introduced to Kandle’s unforgettable musical world.
