Pop sensation Daya released a hot new single called “Infrared” on May 30th via independent label ONErpm. She has been welcomed into the ONErpm family after being a fully independent artist since 2023. While Daya is not new to the music industry, the singer shared in a statement:

“it feels like a step into new territory for me. It captures this bold, confident bravado while also revealing a sincerity and fragility beneath the surface, which, for me, reflects the feelings of being intimate with someone for the first time.”

Since her breakthrough 2016 debut, Sit Still, Look Pretty, Daya has collaborated with heavy hitters like The Chainsmokers, Charlie Puth, and more recently Dom Dolla, whose 2025 single “Dreamin” (ft. Daya) has surpassed 35 million spins on Spotify alone. She has dabbled in more electronic-infused sounds with tracks like “What If I Told You” (2021) and “Juliene” (2023).

It would seem Daya has fully embraced a new, heavier EDM vibe with ONErpm. You can catch her opening for Trixie Mattel on her Solid Pink Disco: Blonde Edition tour across 16 dates. Tickets are available for purchase here.
