BENNI releases debut single “STAYED UP”

Date:

Independent pop/R&B singer BENNI released his debut single last month titled “STAYED UP” via Suede Records.

This earworm is entirely self-produced by BENNI and is very reminiscent of all the best parts of early Y2K pop and R&B, tying a healthy dose of nostalgia in with a very modern feel that would be right at home on today’s radio stations.

While this may be his first official release, BENNI has been steadily honing his craft behind the scenes for years, waiting for the right moment to step out of the shadows.

Speaking on the track, BENNI shared:

”The whole identity of this project is the culmination of years of work to become the artist, producer and songwriter that I am today. It is a collage of the music that I grew up on, my own taste, the years I’ve spent songwriting, and all the days I’ve spent 14 hours in front of a computer – years and years of hard work. I’ve grown and learned so much and I’ve been waiting for this day for a long ass time. I’m so excited to share my art with all of you again.”

Via Instagram, BENNI has also teased the  idea of sharing some of his demos he’s been working on.

In the meantime, “STAYED UP” is now available on all streaming platforms.
