Raised as a Christian private school girl in Canberra, Australia, biblemami’s take on pop is a unique intersection between her religious upbringing and alternative musical doctrines. Blending Slayyyter’s sex electronica, MGNA Crrrta’s loud distortions, and Sky Ferreira’s dark femininity, she makes music for the hazy late nights and after hours smoking blunts in the parking lot.
“and Boys” marks biblemami’s return in 2026 after “GIVENCHY”. This new era expands upon the seductive electropop sound of her 2024 self-titled EP and earlier breakout singles like “2009” and “tapwater princess” with a bit more lux and lust. It touches on the fun, fantasies, and feelings of staying up and staying out, the emotional rollercoaster of hot and heavy hookups from one moment to pure existentialism the next: “Are we the same/With all of our clothes off/I don’t wanna be shallow again/I change a little/But I’m still the same/As I ever was”.
The high-pitched, autotuned vocal chops add a kind of fun, experimental digicore edge to the track’s sticky chorus that will soon soundtrack the hungover debriefs of girls night out down under: “It’s a beautiful evening/Do you wanna stay up tonight/We can talk about sex and drugs, and money and drugs, and sex and drugs, and boys”.
“and Boys” is out everywhere now.
