Last week, Los Angeles based foursome Dead Poet Society released another stand alone single called “Roach” with an accompanying music video that proves just as haunting as their last single released in early May, “Sinner Systems”. These two singles mark their first original material released since 2024.
Speaking on the inspiration behind “Roach”, the band states: ”Resent. That is what this song is about,”“It’s about those who have wronged you, taken advantage of you, hurt you. Let the feeling fester and consume you.”
The music video, co-directed by frontman Jack Underkofler and Mindreader, embodies these feelings of bitterness and animosity in a commanding yet ominous visual, leaving viewers with a growing sense of unease.
On Monday, Dead Poet Society announced they will be touring the UK and Europe this winter, with things kicking off in Lisbon, Portugal on January 21st, 2027 and tour coming to a close on March 5th, 2027 in Helsinki, Finland.
