PICTURE THIS bring their Parked Car Conversations Tour to Manchester

Date:

Picture This stopped by Manchester Academy on their UK & Ireland tour on Tuesday night and it definitely wasn’t one to miss!

It was complete darkness before the whole stage was flooded with a sea of vibrant red mist before the band started taking their places on stage around an impressive parked car with functioning headlights and the drum set scarcely placed on top (a nod to their upcoming album Parked Car Conversations due to be released next Spring) which had the crowd erupting into excitable cheers – the energy for the night was already set. They kicked off the night with new song “Red Lights”, which then seamlessly transitioned into single “Things Are Different”.

Other tracks in their 19 piece set included “Ireland”, “Addict Of Magic”, catchy and you-absolutely-have-to-dance tune, “LA House Party” and latest, powerful single “A Song To Myself” which surprisingly blended into fellow Irish band U2’s classic “With or Without You” that perfectly fit the sonics of the song and performance from frontman and insane vocalist, Ryan Hennessy. This section in particular was an incredible rhythmic blessing to witness; the band exposing their exceptional and warming instrumental talent which consists of Jimmy Rainsford (drums), Owen Cardiff (guitar) and Cliff Deane (bass).

It was shortly followed by the encore as the crowd demanded more from the Irish quartet which included unreleased but upcoming title track from the new album, “Parked Car Conversations” which was a massive hit with the audience along with crowd-engaging, choir-evoking track “Get On My Love”, and debut hit single “Take My Hand” which rocketed the crowd to an unbeatable high; only adding to the exhilarating set.

With spine-chilling vocals wrapped around sharp lyrics, guitar shredding riffs, and a captivating presence… You simply can’t leave a Picture This gig feeling unsatisfied; it’s impossible. They have pure robust artisanship – and you need to experience it.
