Daniel Seavey stole the stage at Blue Note in New York to bring his dream of doing a show of just him and his looper pedal to life. Fans showed how dedicated they are to Daniel hours before the show even started. Although it had reached 103 degrees in NYC, fans still lined up early in the morning just to be close to their favorite artist.
As expected, this show was different than all of this past shows. Fans entered the venue 2 hours early and were seated at tables where they had time to order drinks, food, dessert and to talk to everyone around them before Daniel hit the stage.

When Daniel hit the stage he immediately began looping his song “Gateway Drug” which immediately set the crowds energy for the rest of the night, especially the chorus. He loved the reaction from the crowd and had asked them to sing louder than they already were.
He then went on to sing “Leave Me Alone,” a fan favorite from his debut EP Dancing in the Dark. Fans immediately screamed just from hearing the first sound of this song as they were shocked to hear it as it wasn’t on his recent tour setlist.
He then walked over to his cello to sing “I Tried,” and yes the crowd screaming the lyric “and I’m still in the band” was as loud as it always is. This song then led into his debut single “Can We Pretend That We’re Good.”
Then Daniel went on to what seemed to be his favorite part of the show, the fan requested covers. Fans immediately held up paper signs, or their phone screens trying to get Daniel to sing their favorite songs. The chosen songs ended up being “Late Night Talking” by Harry Styles and “She Will Be Loved” by Maroon 5. Once again, he blew the crowd away with his talent to perfectly loop the song by hearing it just once (or not at all) with zero rehearsal.

Daniel then went on to sing his two newest songs “Dream Crusher” and “Savior” both of which came out just a few hours after the show ended. He originally only announced that “Dream Crusher” would be releasing, but before singing “Savior” he announced to the crowd that this song would also be out at midnight after the show. The crowd was so excited that the volume of applause had been louder than it was at any point before this.
He continued his setlist with “The Older You Get” which was a tear jerker as always for everyone in the room. He lifted the mood almost immediately as he transitioned into “Time to Time (Annie)” and followed that song with “Love’s a Gun.”
The set then came to an end as Daniel sang his final two songs of the night “Sleeping With The Lights On” and “Blame It On You,” which he had told the crowd to get up and dance if they wanted to as they had been sitting the whole show.
Everyone that left the venue did nothing but praise Daniel for the insane amount of talent that he had expressed on the stage that night. It was so easy to tell that he loves what he is able to do with his looper, and more shows like these could definitely be seen in his future.
