Tampa band Nevertel has announced their upcoming album, Start Again, alongside the release of the project’s lead single, “Criminal.” The album, their first with a label, is due out Sept. 12.

The band, which consists of Jeremy Michael, Raul Lopez and Alec Davis, aims to explore various music genres, like nu-metal, hip-hop and alt-rock on Start Again. Their genre-bending debut on Epitaph sets the trio up to bring a new perspective on their music and lives over the last four years. According to a release, the album explores “second chances, self-reinvention and finding new purpose.”

Regarding the lead single “Criminal,” frontman Michael said:

”Criminal” explores a time where I lost control of who I was and was struggling to hold onto who I used to be. This song is a glimpse into how stress, anxiety, and unresolved feelings can change a person over time, making them act in ways they never expected and turning them into someone they don’t recognize.”
