Singer-songwriter Jenna Raine is opening up about her faith journey on her emotional new single, “What Would I Say?”

Raine announced her debut album, Jeans, Boys & Jesus, arriving Friday, Aug. 14, via Warner Records. The album’s lead single, “What Would I Say,” was released on Friday, May 29, offering a personal look into Raine’s faith journey, as she asks the universal question: “What would I say if Jesus walked into the room?”

A deeply personal, faith-based song, “What Would I Say?” finds Raine reflecting on her spiritual journey and the overwhelming gratitude she would feel meeting Jesus face-to-face. From sensing His presence at four years old to navigating life at 15 and now at 22, she explores how God’s guidance and love have remained constant through every season of her life.

She sings, “So many good times, so many tears / You’ve been with me every step of the way / But I’ve never seen Your face.”

About her upcoming debut album, Raine shared the following:

“This album is the first 22 years of my life in a nutshell. The very beginning of womanhood. Even though I haven’t seen it all, there was plenty to learn from the mistakes I made in my teenage years. Like putting my friends first, never settling, raising my standards and most importantly, putting my faith first. The beginning of my 20s have been filled with heartbreak, friendship, falling in love and moving out of my hometown. It’s fun, it’s exciting, it’s a wholesome warm hug from the girl next door. It’s Jeans, Boys & Jesus.”

To celebrate the single release, Raine will perform at The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville on Friday evening. Songwriters and album collaborators Jimmy Robbins, Steph Jones and Ben Williams are joining her for a writers’ round, giving fans the first live preview of the forthcoming album.
