Sam Fender releases “Tyrants” from vinyl-only EP ‘Me and the Dog’

Date:

Sam Fender released his newest single, “Tyrants” off his vinyl-only Record Store Day EP Me and the Dog on April 25. This new release follows recent performances of the song across Fender’s latest US and European tours.

“Tyrants” is upbeat and perfectly captures Fender’s classic rockstar energy as he sings, “So rail against the tyrants now / The ones who rattle in your head / And make something out of the rain / Raise up a glass to lament the dead.” The single features a catchy guitar solo in the final minute that is sure to get listeners on their feet. It’s no wonder that since its release, “Tyrants” has amassed over 850,000 Spotify listens.

Me and the Dog has earned critical acclaim as an album “stacked with massive anthems and lyrical greatness,” according to Billboard. AP added that “the album’s 11 pop-rock tracks reveal a tender, strong-willed and observant lyricist.”

Fender is set to continue touring into the summer. For a full list of upcoming live dates and ticket options, see here.
