Emerging country star Tucker Wetmore to release debut EP ‘Waves on a Sunset’ on Oct. 4

Date:

Country music singer-songwriter Tucker Wetmore is set to release his debut EP, Waves on a Sunset, on Oct. 4 through Back Blocks/UMG Nashville. The eight-track project includes previously released singles “Wind Up Missin’ You,” “What Would You Do?” and “Wine Into Whiskey.” Wetmore’s latest single, “Silverado Blue,” dropped on Friday, Sept. 13.

In a press release statement, Wetmore shared, “In a lot of ways, this feels like my introduction to the world, so I wanted to share some sides of me y’all haven’t seen yet. I’ll be giving you eight songs with five brand new ones.”

He highlighted the significance of the title, explaining that both his debut project and upcoming tour are named after his favorite line from “Wind Up Missin’ You,” “waves on a sunset.”

“Wind Up Missin’ You,” Wetmore’s highest-charting track, peaked at No. 63 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song tells the story of Wetmore trying to win over a woman at a bar, knowing she might reject his love.

“These songs have been mine for a while, but I can’t wait to make them ours. Thank you all for everything, love you guys,” Wetmore added.

As the newest artist to join Spotify’s RADAR program, which highlights emerging talent, Wetmore will perform “Silverado Blue” as part of an upcoming RADAR Sessions performance.
