Built on themes of heartbreak and grief, Your Neighborhood is a story born from real loss and personal upheaval. Opening up for the first time about the real-life experiences that shaped the record, the band explains how the passing of loved ones who deeply influenced some tracks, and the personal conflicts that fueled its emotional core, came to be.
The band unpacks the album’s conceptual storyline: a late-night drive in a small town that ends in a sudden crash, followed by a haunting near-death experience. With insight into the creation of characters like Adam, Beatrice, the “radio” interludes, and the fully realized narrative arc, the zine breaks down how real-life experiences are reimagined through fictional storytelling to shape the album’s world.
