Recent News: Their new album No Place Like Home comes out June 20, and then they head out on tour with 311 this summer.
Incorporating hard-hitting emo elements with their signature heavy rock sound, L.A.-based rock group Badflower are cementing themselves as one of the genre’s most ambitious rising acts. After returning from a three-year hiatus in June of 2024, the band is now gearing up to release No Place Like Home, their third full-length studio album, through Big Machine Records on June 20. On album release day, Badflower will hit the road as the supporting act for 311 on their Sitting On Saturn summer tour.
Inititally releasing their debut EP About A Girl in 2013, Badflower grew a steady following within their local music scene and soon got the attention of radio host and former NSYNC member Lance Bass. Not long after, the band were finally signed to their first major record label. The group released their following EP, Temper, in 2016, earning massive praise for their classic rock-inspired sound. Badflower’s hit song, “Animal,” landed on both Spotify and Billboard charts, and was a frequent favorite for both local and national radio stations.
Subsequent years found Badflower with an extensive touring schedule, playing alongside the likes of Pop Evil and Red Sun Rising and performing at a number of festivals including Buzzfest, Rock On Range and Louder Than Life. Through these years, Badflower opened for artists such as Greta Van Fleet, The Struts, Of Mice & Men and From Ashes To New. Eventually, the band released their debut LP OK, I’m Sick in 2019 through Big Machine. Two years later, Badflower shared their second full-length album, This Is How The World Ends.
After three years of not releasing any music, Badflower began releasing a number of new singles throughout 2024, including “Detroit,” “Haunting You” and “London.” It was soon announced that these releases arrived ahead of the band’s new album No Place Like Home. Featuring 13 tracks, the record showcases the wide range of sonic influences that Badflower are able to incorporate.
Whether it be the romantic desperation found within “London,” or the intense ferocity explored in “Snuff,” Badflower are able to explore every dark corner of how human emotion can be expressed. Equal parts humorous and vulnerable, the band never compromises when it comes to unrelenting and unforgettable delivery. Following somewhat of a hiatus for the band, there’s no doubt that Badflower’s highly-anticipated new album will be a defining body of work — and one that diehard listeners should experience live.
