Wolfgang Zimmerman is a drummer, producer, and songwriter hailing from Charleston, South Carolina. Having worked with bands like Susto and Band of Horses in the past, he’s now jumping into the solo music scene for himself with his new single “HyperFlex (Golden State of Mind)”.
This single brings the energy from the very start. Jumping right in with some dynamic drums and spacey instrumentals, this upbeat track makes you want to close your eyes and vibe along. Zimmerman’s echoey and distorted vocals laid over catchy beats add a carefree essence to the song. The production on this track is phenomenal, which is unsurprising given his experience. Zimmerman created this song after coming back from a trip where he hit it off with a celebrity on a plane to LA by chance. They met up in LA and were able to make some music together, and Zimmerman has said it was a “dream come true”. He certainly channeled that enthusiastic energy into this out-of-this-world track.
