The Avett Brothers and Mike Patten to release joint album out November 14

The Avett Brothers, Scott and Seth Avett, have announced a collaborative album with Faith No More and Mr. Bunglefrontman Mike Patton, releasing on the 14th of November. The album, AVTT/PTTN, will feature 9 original songs written by the new trio, with lead single “Eternal Love” out today.

Scott Avett describes Patton as “a dear friend now, but when we were younger, I was imitating him.” The album is set to follow along in the folk tradition of the three artists with heavy harmonies and striking guitars.

The Avett Brothers have four Grammy nominations to their name, were inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, and were given the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association. Having voice acted, composed for film and started his own record label, Mike Patton has become a well-known powerhouse in the entertainment industry. He other projects include Peeping Tom and Tomahawk.

The lead single for the project, “Eternal Love,” is out now with the pre-order for AVTT/PTTN already live.
