Taylor Bickett is back at it again with another single, “Good Short Thing”, to slowly introduce us to here upcoming album, There’s Nothing I Can’t Undo. Unlike her most recent releases, “Driving in the Dark” and “Wild Dogs“, this new track is a sweeter song.
“Good Short Thing” leans in into the hopeless romantic delight point of view of falling in love, whilst trying not to self sabotage a good thing. Taylor brings in a simple and soothing acoustic guitar to create an intimate experience. The short and sweet song has diaristic lyrics that are universally relatable. Bickett says on the song, “I wrote “Good Thing Short” about that feeling at the start of a new relationship, one that brings peace and comfort like never before. With the beauty and excitement also comes the fear of messing it up. This song is a plea to myself: don’t do that thing you always do, don’t cut this good thing short”
