The Strike shows us the light at the end of the tunnel with “Knock Me Out”

Date:

We have all had an introduction to the 80s media – a movie, an actor, a book series, but most commonly, music. The Strike, a pop band influenced by the 80s, is a perfect example of how to get into the soaring melodies, anthemic choruses, and slamming drums.

And, as if the ever-growing LA-based band knew what our goal was, they just released their new single, “Knock Me Out,” an uplifting anthem about finding the strength to keep moving forward when life wants to knock you down. Instead, you hit back.

The perfect song to sing with the windows down, driving down the Pacific Coast Highway at sunset, “Knock Me Out” was released just before the launch of the band’s biggest headline to date, the No Time To Waste Tour. It serves as a victory cry and celebration of the hard-earned growth over the last nine months.

“Knock Me Out” invited you to scream the lyrics, throw yourself into your work, go on a run, and turn setbacks into fuel to continue on with life. Push back on the challenges life throws at you, turn it into an anthem when it seems it is all caving in. The Strike effortlessly writes lyrics that can be turned into a motto, a life lesson to cling to, and while continuing to carry expectations and stress through life, you understand it is temporary.
