Rock for People, Czechia’s premier rock festival, starts this Wednesday, June 11th, at Park 360 in Hradec Kralove. For the first time ever, the festival is completely sold out and is set to welcome a record-breaking 50,000 visitors over the course of the festival’s five days (June 11 to June 15). The only remaining tickets are one-day Sunday tickets — Sunday was the surprise extra day added for the festival’s 30th birthday.
Rock for People is set to feature performances of over 1000 artists across its 10 stages. These range from the festival’s larger-than-life headliners (Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Linkin Park, The Sex Pistols ft. Frank Carter, Guns N’ Roses) to Czech musicians like Ewa Farna, who performed her hit single “Na ostří nože” with Dua Lipa during Lipa’s recent concert in Prague. About this year’s lineup, Rock for People Michal Thomes shared,
“Our budget for band fees
nearly doubled this year, but our bet on world-famous music legends has paid off. There
has been overwhelming demand from fans, and the festival is now sold out, that was my
dream.”
Alongside the musical performances, the festival will also offer a diverse arts program running daily so visitors will have a chance to experience local art and culture and interact with the festival on another level. For the first time, festival-goers will also be able to shop for food and other hygiene products directly on site from a Tesco store provided by one of the festival’s general partners. Michel Thomes comments further on the overall scale and excitement for the upcoming festival:
“I feel incredibly grateful but also responsible towards our fans. I believe this year’s edition will be exceptional in all aspects, and together we will step into another decade of Rock for
People.”
Rock for People has cemented itself over the years as a leader in the Czech music scene, bringing the largest selection of artists to the Czech Republic, and they’re not stopping anytime soon.
